After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ron furthered his education with a Masters of Taxation from DePaul University.

Experience

Ron's entire professional career has been in public accounting in the Chicago metropolitan area.  After beginning his career as a staff accountant with the local CPA firm of Seidman and Seidman, Ron subsequently moved to another local CPA firm, where he would continue to expand his knowledge and continue to rise through the ranks.  After a merger and name change, Ron would eventually become a partner in the firm known as Berg, DeMarco, Lewis, Sawatski & Co.  The firm was purchased and merged into RSM McGladrey.  Shortly after the merger, Ron and two of his ex-partners left RSM McGladrey in 2001 and formed the firm of DeMarco, Kinnaman, Lewis & Co.  On January 1, 2019, the firm of DeMarco, Kinnaman, Lewis & Co. merged into Dowell Group, LLP, where Ron continued to serve at the partner level.  Ron's work over the years have covered a wide range of professional services, but he has focused most heavily on providing tax and accounting services to businesses and individuals.  As a part of his services to high net worth individuals, Ron has also focused much of his attention on the taxation and accounting for estates and trusts.

The services that Ron provides include the following:

  • Tax consulting and planning for high net worth individuals, estates, trusts, corporations and partnerships
  • Preparation and review of income tax returns for businesses, trusts, estates and individuals
  • Providing oversight, bill payment, cash management services and various consulting services to individuals, estates and trusts
  • Tax preparation and accounting for nonprofits and private foundations
  • Consultations and preparation of estate and gift tax returns
